Company

The Company Behind the Architecture.

Three decades of precision seeding work — now the architecture the global equipment industry is converging on.

Clean Seed Capital Group is the platform company behind precision seeding at scale — originating the architecture, advancing its evolution, and operating the partner network that deploys it globally.

01 Who We Are
Platform · By Design

A platform company — by architecture, not by pivot.

Clean Seed is not a traditional equipment manufacturer. It is a platform company — structured to originate an architecture, scale it through partners already operating at industrial scale, and participate across the broader equipment ecosystem as the precision seeding category formalizes around the patented model.

The Business

The system beneath the category.

The architecture is the asset. The patent estate protects it. The partner network deploys it. The licensing framework extends both. The discipline has been the same for three decades — build the standard, not the slight advantage.

Capital follows the architecture, not the equipment. Manufacturing, distribution, and service sit at the edges of the model — operated by Mahindra, JAS, and the Soil + Sky Alliance. Clean Seed operates the platform itself.

Principle 01

Architecture First

Engineer the standard before commercializing it. The patent estate predates the market it now defines.

Principle 02

Partner-Led Scale

Deploy through partners already operating at OEM and channel scale. Avoid the capital weight of owning what others already own.

Principle 03

License the System

Convert industry convergence around the patented architecture into long-duration royalty participation across the equipment ecosystem.

04 Origin
Three Decades · One Architecture

A single conviction, held for thirty years.

Clean Seed exists because of one conviction held since the early 1990s — that precision seeding, done right at the point of placement, would become the defining architecture of modern agriculture. The work to build it began long before the industry began converging around it.

Chapter 01 1990s · Foundation

It started on a paper napkin — and reached the U.S. Senate.

Dr. Noel Douglas Lempriere — agricultural engineer, conservation tillage pioneer, and one of few inventors invited to address the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Sustainable Agriculture — sketched the first opener concept on a paper napkin in the 1990s. He had spent decades inside the U.S. conservation tillage movement and was frustrated by seeding systems that wasted seed, fertilizer, and water on every pass.

What followed was a sustained body of patent work: the Terra-Glide planting system, deep fertilizer placement at shallow drilling depths, and the first integration of electric metering onto no-till drills. Those original patents became the foundation of what is now the SMART Seeder MAX™ architecture — and the basis of the patent estate Clean Seed continues to extend across new technologies and software layers.

Inventor · On Record
"This technology will change food for the world. It requires less input, less seed, less fertilizer — and the harvest will be much greater."
Dr. Noel Douglas Lempriere · Inventor
Chapter 02 Public by Design

Capital from the people who plant the seed.

Clean Seed went public not for institutional capital alone, but to invite the farming community into the architecture's development. The majority of the company's funding has come from the operators who run the equipment — a deliberate alignment between the platform and the people whose ground it serves.

The intent has not changed: build the standard, with the people who depend on it. The shareholder base is structurally aligned with the long-duration nature of an architecture-led business — patents that compound, partnerships that deepen, licensing that participates as the industry adopts the model.

Chapter 03 Discipline of the Platform

Radical advancement, not incremental advantage.

Refusing slight differentiation has been the operating principle from day one. The architecture was engineered to redefine the seeding pass — variable-rate metering, precise placement, integrated control — not to improve on existing equipment by a margin. Every patent in the estate, every technology added to the platform, has been measured against a single test: does it raise the standard for the entire category, or only for one product?

CEO · On Record
"We don't build something slightly different with a slight advantage. We make radical advancements."
Graeme Lempriere · Chairman & CEO
Chapter 04 Institutional Alignment

Public-sector belief from the beginning.

The architecture has drawn structural support across jurisdictions and decades. Issued patents in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and additional markets — alongside Government of Canada agreements, USPTO continuations and extensions, and provincial alignment with Saskatchewan — anchor the platform's institutional posture. Recognition of intellectual property worth protecting, not subsidies for a product.

Canada

Federal funding agreements

Government of Canada interest-free loan agreements supporting platform development and Canadian operations.

United States

USPTO grants & extensions

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office grants and keystone-patent extensions reinforcing the patent estate.

Europe

Patent arrangements

European patent arrangements extending the architecture's IP coverage across major agricultural jurisdictions.

Saskatchewan

Provincial alignment

Central Saskatchewan operations established with multi-year provincial tax reduction recognizing the platform's commercial innovation.

The architecture was engineered first. The platform was structured to scale it. The industry is now operating within it.

Clean Seed Capital Group

The architecture is ours. The scale is the industry's.
